What month is it?

So yesterday it was in the 70s outside. Gu, Michael and I went to Ridgely's for lunch at ate outside, in December! This morning, after lifting, I went running through my neighborhood in shorts. Shorts! Again, it is December. Granted today is cooling off, with a high of 50, but are we skipping winter and headed right for spring?? Its not feeling a lot like Christmas with temps like this.
