beautiful bags

I have been waiting/ working on other projects for quite a while, but this weekend I finally got to sewing my first purse, and I LOVE it!

I bought the fabric on sale a few months ago because I thought it was beautiful but I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with it. I decided to use it for a small purse and it turned out really well. The fabrics work really well together and I only made 2 small mistakes. It was a great learning project to make before the girls dresses (actually, I think I'm going to try to make my own dress first and then work on theirs, just because I want to wear mine to the shower).
