weekend in review
This past weekend flew by....way too quickly. Friday night was book club. I loved the book. Loved it! The Art of Keeping Secrets. I loved the characters. I loved imagining the scenery. I loved imagining the characters accents and outfits in my head. It was an all around wonderful read.
Saturday brought the Ravens. We woke up, ate breakfast and talked Ravens. I started making myself a calendar collage on shutterfly (I can not wait until it is delivered to our home). Carl made chili for the watching of the Ravens game, and I dressed the girls in Ravens appropriate attire. Carl put the ever classy Ravens flags on the jetta and we headed down to Dan and Mindy's to watch the game, eat fried chicken, chili and big cookie, and enjoy the company of our fellow Raven's fans. We were all very excited that the Ravens won...even Laney and Alie who seemed to have a great time watching all the boys jump around and scream at the tv. I think Carl may have been the most excited since he called almost everyone we know during our long drive home.
Sunday came too soon. I had great intentions of putting some stuff in storage bins in the back room of the basement, but instead ended up doing a whole lot of nothing. We did go to Cirucci's and I laid on the couch with her chatting for a while, while Brian, Carl and the kiddos watched "A Bugs Life". Oh and I went to Target. I have now officially finished buying the girls summer wardrobe (I bought most of it at the end of last summer) and I have almost purchased their entire wardrobe for next fall/winter. I am OBSESSED with the end of season sales. We decided to be lazy and get some pizza and breadsticks for dinner...no worries, we will be eating something a bit more balanced this evening....and I finished a so-so book I was reading.
Tonight I will need to do everything that I didn't do yesterday. Of course.
